Saying I am an anxious person would be underrated ! Despite being most of the days in a good mood, I feel very often quite anxious about literally everything. Exercise has been helping me a lot to manage my stress, to release the pressure and empty my mind but I pass another level since I started meditation.

Being borderline hyperactive, I always been convinced meditation was not for me. How can I stand still not opening my month for hours when I am not able to seat behind a desk for more than half-an-hour ?
I started practicing thru yoga, 5 minutes at the end of the class still in savasana position. Slowly, I started trying to focus on the present when I was walking or cycling, then I added to my routine some breathing exercises when I was feeling stressed and lately, I even attended some meditation classes to try to go deeper into my practice.
I can not say than I am a great meditator so far, despite all my efforts my mind keeps jumping from one idea to another - "what I am gonna cook tonight ?" "What this girl thought about me ?" "What is gonna happen ?" - but day by day I can feel the improvements in my practice and on my anxiety level.
Meditation is helping me going thru hard time and manage my emotions. As soon as I feel stressed and if I have no time to attend a class, I just pop this amazing app you absolutely have to download and spare some time for a quick Buddhify sesh.
Buddhify is available on smartphone and offers a panel of different short meditation based on everyday life situation : can not sleep, flying, walking, feeling stressed... It became my best tool to relax when life is tough. Healthier than a cigarette and quicker than a one-hour run at the beach, it could also be a good start to begin your meditation practice and find more peace in your busy life.
